THE NEED FOR EDUCATION AND COUNSELING

Many people who use cannabis also take prescription and over-the counter medications to treat their ailments and conditions.  Although cannabis can be very safe and effective under guided use, it is very important to understand the potential impact(s) it may have on the medications you are currently taking.  For instance, it may be necessary to adjust the dose of your medications if you are taking any of the following types of drugs:

·      Certain seizure medicines

·      Statins, a type of cholesterol medicine

·      Some blood pressure medications (such as beta-blockers)

·      Nasal decongestants

·      Warfarin (Blood thinner)

·      Inhalers for breathing

·      ADHD medications

·      Medications that may cause dizziness and drowsiness

·      Many other medicines

It is important to keep these things in mind when trying to decide which cannabis product is right for you or your loved one. With the proper education and guidance from our team of medical professionals and Care Consultants here at SweetGrass, we can help ensure you have access to the safest and most effective products for your particular situation.
